KEEN ARCHITECTURE

Perth Architect - Kris Keen.

“If I could influence how others see design it would be quality over quantity. Simple! That, encompasses energy efficiency and sustainability notes as standard and appropriate site and client specific responses – no two clients or site are the same! (I’m looking at you generic ‘project home’).” - Kris

Focused on honesty and authenticity in process and design, you’re likely familiar with Kris if you’ve been following along with Spreading Roomers for a while. You may also have listened to us talk ‘all the things’ over on Design Banter.

Imagery spans projects from East Fremantle, Claremont & are taken by Dion Robeson

Secretly obsessed with Muuto ‘dot wall hooks’…keep an eye on his projects, they always pop up somewhere! (available locally at Arrival Hall).

THE NUTSHELL.

Whilst Kris would be happy being a fulltime ‘goofball’ and making his kids laugh, this once aspiring Marine Biologist, furniture maker, industrial designer and bladesmith is busy teaching us all the simplicity behind architecture. Rather than confounding with technicalities, Kris is brilliant at striping back the concepts to their bare essentials and getting clients really comfy with their core requirements.

Not all people can re-imagine or visualise the end result, and so the clients that seek out Keen Architecture are those who already understand that good design will bring incredible value to their lives, yet they need the right person to help them achieve it.

Like many, it’s the guidance they drawn to most - and this where Kris is in his element. His approach both genuine and honest.

Magic happens in this space.
